We sat down with Ben for our client feature and this is what we learned:
Q. Tell us about your business. What does it do?
A. Mehrtz is a residential Solar + Storage specialist servicing Greater Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. We are specialist’s in designing the smartest home energy solutions that slash energy bills. Our mission is to create a better future by helping Australian home owners become ‘Energy Smart and Energy Secure’.
Q. How and when did MEHRTZ start?
A. Mehrtz started out as a small electrical contracting business trading as Majestic Earth, subcontracting to large solar retailers. In 2016 we rebranded under the MEHRTZ name and begun to build our trusted brand that provides the best and smartest Solar + Battery solutions in the market.
Q. What makes your business different to other Solar and Storage specialists in Brisbane?
A. We are not afraid to suggest the right solution, no matter the price. This may be made up of several aspects that will deliver the expected energy bill reductions. We believe that long after the price is forgotten the quality remains. Our clients choose us because we take the time to first educate, then prepare and deliver a professional accurate proposal outlining the savings and payback period of the solution so they can make an educated, smart and secure investment.
Q. Starting a small business can be challenging in today’s market. What is one thing you feel was a challenge for you and how did you overcome that?
A. The Solar market is very fast moving and can be confusing for the average home owner. Mehrtz set out to “reengineer” the process, providing easy to digest information and accurate facts, so the client has complete confidence moving forward with us.
Q. When did you start using Empire Accountants and what difference have you noticed since working together?
A. We have been with Empire for around 2 years now, we have seen a much greater focus on eliminating unnecessary overheads and increasing profitably thought out the business. They put us in touch with a great book-keeper and together we are achieving greatness!
